Dear 1B Families,
This week we started our letter writing unit. We read stories about writing letters. In math, we are working on patterns and shapes. We are also ordering numbers and returning to greater than, less than, and equal to with larger numbers. In science, are continuing to work on studying sunlight, water, and soil; we are Environmental Scientist. The focus this week was water and soil. Next week we will finish this unit.

Field Trip Form:
Please return the field trip permission slip for a presentation and bus ride. We do not need parent help on this field trip, thank you. We will be listening to an outstanding presentation about the Community Transit Bus System.
After the presentation we will take a short bus ride. We get on our own community transit bus here at school, ride around the neighborhood practicing our good bus behavior and return to school about 20 minutes later. This is a fun field trip and learning opportunity for the first graders.
