Dear 1B Families,
This week we finished penguins and started Valentine’s Day projects. We read valentine stories and learned about poetry. In math, we are working on 2D and 3D shapes. We are also ordering numbers and returning to greater than, less than, and equal to with larger numbers. In science, are continuing to work on studying sunlight, water, and soil; we are Environmental Scientist. The focus this week was water.
Next week we will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Thursday, February 13 please send Valentines on Thursday.
Important Information:
Valentine’s Day:
We will celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 13 because there is no school Friday, February 14. We will be celebrating with a small party in the afternoon and passing out valentines. Please send your child with their valentines on Thursday. Please make sure your child has valentines for everyone in our class, we have 15 students. Also remember if you are sending treats with the Valentines that we have students in our class with peanut and nut allergies, thanks.
