Dear 1B Families,

Happy last week of school!  Today is our last zoom.  Please have your child bring their science booklet to our zoom. I know that each student has made progress and growth during this trimester of distance learning and I am very proud of them.  Thank you so much for all your help and support in your child’s learning this year. We are blessed to have you as a part of our SMM community!

Tuesday June 9 at 10:30 AM- Last Zoom Meeting

Important information:

  • Math: This week we are taking our subtraction test and unit tests on addition and subtraction, please make sure you send pictures of these tests.  There are also additional math books that your child has, please feel free to work through these during the summer if you would like additional math practice.
  • Reading:  Great reading on Epic- we are at 425 books!

If your child is needing help finding good fit books I encourage you to have them use Raz-Kids and Epic- https://www.getepic.com/students  Class code- xww4940

In addition, these sites will be available throughout the summer for more reading practice and fun!

  • Science: We will learn about moths and butterflies this week and take a quiz on Wednesday to check our learning.  We will not complete this entire science booklet and unit on insects, feel free to learn more about insects during the summer.
  • Writing:  Friday, I posted a writing assignment for Mr. Ramseyer, please complete this by Wednesday.  We want to wish him luck in his new adventures in life and thank him for everything he has done for our school.  Please take time to write a thank you note, make a short video or design a card. Other possible suggestions: take a picture with a sign that says thank you/we will miss you or draw a picture for Mr. Ramseyer.  Use your imagination and creativity to show that his time at our school was memorable!  Please submit your positive notes in the assignment titled “Goodbye Mr. Ramseyer” in Mrs. Framel’s google classroom.  Her class code is jb6nfmh, if you aren’t already a member.  Please submit your notes no later than Wednesday, June 10th.
