Dear 1B Families,

Happy June!  I cannot believe we are almost to the end of the school year.  Thank you so much for all your help and support in your child’s learning this year.  This week our 8th graders will be graduating, congratulations to them all their hard work at SMM. Here are the zoom dates for the week and other helpful information.

Zoom Meeting Dates:

Tuesday June 2 at 10:30 AM

Thursday June 4 at 10:30 AM

Tuesday June 9 at 10:30 AM- Last Zoom Meeting

Important information:

  • Math: This week we are continuing to work on our subtraction chapter and next week we will finish the chapter and unit taking the last tests.  There are additional math books that your child has that we did not complete entirely, please feel free to work through these during the summer if you would like additional math practice.
  • Reading:  Great reading on Epic- we are at 340 books!

If your child is needing help finding good fit books I encourage you to have them use Raz-Kids and Epic- https://www.getepic.com/students  Class code- please review the email for class code.

In addition, these sites will be available throughout the summer for more reading practice and fun!

  • Science: Over these last two weeks we will learn more about invertebrates.  We will finish learning about our sea life animals and start learning about insect invertebrates.  We will not complete this entire science booklet and unit on insects, feel free to learn more about insects during the summer.

Again thank you so much for all you do and please let me know if you have any questions! 😊

Thank you and God Bless,

Mrs. Heidi Harris
